BSNL Wimax launched

On 13 December 2009 Bharath Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) introduced first Wimax service in India. BSNL Wimax (Wireless broadband service) was launched firstly at Ajmer, Rajasthan (large state in North Western India).

The interesting factor about this sevice is its tariff. BSNL Wimax is only charged at a rate of one hundred forty INR per month.

The speed which Wireless broadband service Wimax (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access) can provide is seven Megabits per second.
